More cenotes! Just because there are so many, and it’s one of the things that makes Yucatán so special.

Ik Kil is located very close to Chichen Itza. It’s one of the more beautiful cenotes I have visited but that and the location comes at a price. Luckily, we arrived early and managed to get some alone time before the storm of tourists… When we left the cenote was packed. We found no less than 8 different tour buses in the parking lot and obviously the place had by then lost its charm.

Cenote Dzitnup actually consists of two cenotes – Samula and X’keken. However, you have to pay separate, and can therefore choose whether you want to visit both or just one of the two. Obviously we chose to visit them both, why not!
